Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant Takes Second and Third at 76th Running of Daytona 200

Merritt Island, FL (April 13, 2017) –Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant, the premier choice for powersports coolant and antifreeze, would like to congratulate both Cory West and Michael Barnes on their podium finishes at the 76th running of the Daytona 200. The event took place at Daytona Motor Speedway in Daytona
Beach FL on March 18th.

At the checkered flag West was second followed by Barnes in third but West was later disqualified for a violation of the rule book regarding an air filter on his Yamaha R6 giving Barnes the position. West and his team filed an appeal, putting the results on hold.

In a statement released this week by the ASRA Appeal Board, West was found not to be in violation based upon the written rule and his second place spot was reinstated giving him back the position. The official results now list West in second and Barnes in third, therefore giving Engine Ice supported athletes second and third place at this prestigious event.

The 2017 results follow Engine Ice’s podium sweep in 2016 with Michael Barnes, Geoff May and Wyatt Farris.

“Two out of three isn’t bad,” said David Kimmey, Owner of CycleLogic Products, the manufacturer of Engine Ice. “ Coming off of the sweep in 2016 we were looking forward to great results from the athletes and teams that choose Engine Ice, and as always they delivered. For 17 years we’ve produced a coolant and antifreeze that provides dependable horsepower and reduced engine temperatures allowing these machines to operate at their maximum performance without a fear of failure. “Right out of the bottle” from the shelf of your local dealer you can count on the same great product to perform in your machine,” Kimmey concluded.

Designed for use in machines racing and recreational and wherever coolant or antifreeze are required. Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant is biodegradable, phosphate free, non-toxic, and typically reduces operating race temperatures, effectively keeping boil-over temperatures to 256°F or less and freeze-up protection to -26° F. Factory or privateer, highly modified or stock, all machines benefit from using Engine Ice.
