Merritt Island, FL (January 25, 2016) – It was a full house for the Round 3 of the Monster Energy Supercross series and the fans who packed Angel Stadium witnessed some fantastic racing.
The Engine Ice sponsored BTO Sports team of Davi Millsaps and Justin Brayton put on some strong performances with Millsaps winning the first 450 Heat of the evening, and even thanking Engine Ice on the live Fox Sports 1 broadcast. Brayton finished 4th in Heat 2, allowing both riders to transfer straight to the Main event.
When the final gate dropped in the last race of the night, it was Millsaps taking the holeshot and the lead over Ryan Dungey. It wasn’t until lap four when Dungey made the pass to take the eventual win. Millsaps finished a solid 7th with teammate Brayton in tow crossing the line 8th. Both riders respectively now stand 7th and 8th in points.
A special shout-out to Engine Ice-sponsored Privateer Journey’s Nick Schmidt who finished a solid 4th in his Semi and an eventual 17th overall in the premier 450 class.
