However, automobiles pose a slightly different issue than
the standard motorcycle engine.

*A note on modern street automobiles:

Newer model passenger vehicles are equipped with a massive amount of electronic and computerization equipment to keep your passenger car’s temperature consistent with the manufacturer’s specifications. An analogy we use, and although a bit simplistic, is that even if you filled your radiator with ice cubes, the computer system would hold the thermostat and monitoring equipment until it reaches its pre-programmed operating temperature. The bottom line is, you’ll only reduce the overall temperature by a couple of degrees due to the thermostat opening and closing or “feathering” to maintain its pre-programmed and desired temperature. Keep in mind; we are talking stock, unmodified passenger cars, not racing cars.
