Camarillo, CA (July 20, 2015) – Team BTO Sports was back in action this weekend for the 8th
round of the 2015 Pro Motocross Championship at Spring Creek MX in Millville, MN. The
team was in full force, as rider Andrew Short made his return to racing alongside teammate
Justin Brayton as they battled the field Saturday afternoon.
It was a much celebrated return to racing for Andrew Short, who has been out of action since
the end of April due to an injury suffered at the New Jersey Supercross. Things looked very
similar to earlier this year, as Shorty grabbed a handful of throttle at the start of the first
moto, nearly grabbing the holeshot. Battling deep within the field for the first part of the
moto, Short would hold on and finish the moto in the 16th position.
Short would regroup and come out strong in the second moto as he once again used the full
power of his FMF Racing exhaust system to almost grab the holeshot. Short would fight deep
inside the field, overcoming a few near misses to finish 15th and take 14th overall on the day.
“It feels great to be back out here racing” Short said of his day. “It was tough out there and it
was a struggle, but things will get better and I’ll be better prepared next weekend at
It would be a tough day for teammate Justin Brayton. After a solid qualifying performance,
Brayton used all the power of his KTM Factory Services motor to start at the front of the field.
From there, Brayton battled inside the top ten until an unfortunate issue with another rider
would take him out of the race. He would sit out moto two due to injuries sustained in moto
one. Brayton will be returning to racing this upcoming weekend in Washougal, and both
riders are looking forward to finishing out the final 4 rounds strong.
