Merritt Island, FL (August 10, 2015) – The 2015 MotoAmerica road race series has produced tremendous race action across all classes throughout it’s inaugural season and the Superstock 600 class was no exception as the young phenom, Joe Roberts, catapulted his way to the Class Championship by winning 9 of the 11 races to date. One more round remains on the calendar (with two more races) for September 11-13 at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.Roberts, who is part of the Yamaha backed Meen Motorsports group, obviously clinched the title early and is the first champion that MotoAmerica crowned in their new AMA supported series.
“Engine Ice has been an important partner of ours for this 2015 season,” said Ameen Sajjadi, President of Meen Motorsports. “It’s always great for all of our sponsors when the hard work and energy comes together and results in a championship. I know that Joe and the rest of our team are proud of their accomplishments – especially by winning the championship early, with one round left in the season.”Engine Ice is the powersport industry’s top selling engine coolant and has been the choice of top racers for over 15 years. “You never get tired of winning championships,” explained Dave Kimmey, owner of CycleLogic Products. “The guys and the riders behind Meen Motorsports are all dedicated to one thing… Winning! We are pretty excited be part of their team and very proud of their results.”
In addition to Joe Roberts’ championship, Meen Motorsports’ Josh Herrin is now sitting in a solid third position in the ultra competitive Supersport Class with one more round scheduled for New Jersey. With a crew of new riders in a first-year series, Meen Motorsports has produced what many will refer to as a “very successful road race program” for 2015.
